Beautiful Tessa

Well, Tessa got braces this morning. Her teeth really aren't that bad (there are just a few small gaps), but the biggest concern is that there is a tooth that is still up in her gums that is not moving down, and it's actually turned sideways. So...they put the top braces on today, then in several weeks she has an appointment with an oral surgeon, where they will attach a chain to the tooth that is being stubborn, which will then be attached to the braces, to pull it down into place. Then later on, they'll put on some bottom braces. Hopefully it's not too painful for her! The good thing is that the braces that they use are much smaller & are made so that they don't tear at the cheeks & lips, like the ones in the past. The orthodontist said that it could take anywhere from 12-20 months, depending on how quickly the teeth move. Hopefully they are cooperative & she is done quickly! Here is Tessa with her new look...and beautiful as always!!!
