Birthdays, swimming, and music...oh my!

We had fun celebrating Neil's & PJ's birthday's this past week. Here is a picture from Neil's big 40th celebration.

And one from PJ's big 15th birthday celebration. He chose cheesecake with blueberries and cherries, rather than the traditional birthday cake.

I also snapped a couple photos from Jonah & Clay's swimming classes. They LOVE swimming & have so much fun! They are great swimmers & Jonah loves diving too!

The kids have all taken some time off from music lessons, but have recently been interested in starting back up again. I'm glad they all like music & I love hearing them play!

We bought PJ a guitar for his birthday, which he was SO excited about! He's been wanting to learn to play & is looking forward to starting lessons soon. He's even figured out a few basics on his own.
Tessa started playing the clarinet in January & is LOVING it! She has learned so quickly (I think partly because of her previous piano lessons). We love to hear her practice all of her music--it sounds great!
Jonah just started taking piano lessons too. He wants to eventually move to drums, but we thought we start out with some basic piano for 6 months or so first, to get a good base of music, notes, rhythm, etc. He is very excited & is having fun.
And Clay is having fun listening to everyone else & likes to play on a little toy electric guitar, or play a little on the piano. We'll probably get him in some lessons in a year or so too.
