Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday, for the 4th, we took the kids swimming, and had a church barbeque with 2 wards. Then we came home & watched fireworks from our yard. They were awesome! They don't have restrictions here like they do in Utah (because of fire hazards), so just on our street and in our neighborhood, we had huge fireworks from about 8:30 until almost midnight. It was quite the show (and free!) The kids loved it. The kids also wanted to sleep out in the tent, so Neil put the tent up in our backyard yesterday afternoon. We left off the extra covering that goes over the screened sides and top, so we could see the fireworks, while we were lying in the tent. It was a mostly clear night, so we could see the stars and fireworks through the top and sides of the tent. It was a lot of fun. Then around 4 a.m., it started to rain, and because we didn't have the outside covering over the top and sides, we were all getting wet. So we had to wake up the kids, and bring them back inside. Well, as always, Jonah was up around 6:00, and Clay was right behind him around 6:15. So much for sleeping in! But it was fun anyway. And as a side note...today marks our official 3 years in Arkansas. We still can't believe it's been 3 years already!

That sounds like so much fun sleeping in the tent- we need to do that with our girls. Congrats on making it for 3 years- hopefully the next 3 years will be just as good- I have a feeling we'll both still be here and loving it!
