Happy 42nd Birthday, from my sweet family!

I had a wonderful birthday with my sweet family, celebrating & having fun for a couple of days (we like to drag it out around here).  On Thursday (my birthday), I woke up to a cute "happy birthday" sign & balloons, that Tessa made & put up to surprise me.  I had fun with the kids that day, hanging out, we went to the park, and stopped for some frozen yogurt.  That evening, we had some VERY delicious shredded chicken (and beef) enchiladas that Neil made.  He got the ingredients when he was in the U.S., since we can't get corn tortillas or enchilada seasoning anywhere here in Canada!  We SO miss good Mexican food!  Jonah was hilarious...he closed his eyes & said, "Oh, these are SOOO good!"  After dinner, we had my favorite birthday dessert--angel food cake with fresh strawberries & whipped cream).  YUM!  Then I opened my presents, which I loved!  The kids each gave me some of my favorite treats, and Neil had such a cute, thoughtful, creative gift... he is definitely the BEST husband ever!

He put so much time & effort into my gift & it was so creative & thoughtful! It started with a note saying that he wanted to give me the "perfect day" for my birthday, so inside the box was a series of various gifts (in order), that planned out my perfect day, with a sweet note attached to each. xoxox It started with my favorite breakfast (that he also got in the U.S. when he was there, since we can't get it here in Canada), then next was time with my family...with tickets to Canada's Wonderland for the next day (Friday), some diet coke for the drive, some of my favorite treats (including Dove chocolates with carmel--also from the U.S.--they don't have those here either), then a menu for dinner out at PF Changs in Toronto after our day at Canada's Wonderland, and one of my favorite chick flicks (a Nicholas Sparks movie), for after we got home from our fun day. It was awesome & the notes made me laugh & cry! I love that guy!  It was the perfect gift & I loved every single thing about it!  He definitely made my day perfect! 

(I didn't get tons of pictures at Canada's Wonderland, because we were all riding the rides together.  It's so fun now that the kids are all old enough that we can all ride the big roller coasters together.  Clay even went on the roller coaster with 2 loops on it with the rest of us.  SO fun!)
