Happy, Happy Birthday to our Mr. Jonah! We are so grateful to have him in our family! He is kind, funny, smart, creative, and always has a smile to share! We had a fun time celebrating his birthday this year. We only let our kids have "friend" parties on certain years, and this was not one of those years, so we just had a family party--but that is always a lot of fun too, with balloons, streamers, cake & presents, & dinner out to the place of their choice, etc. His birthday was on a Friday, so I made him waffles for breakfast (one of his favorites), and then after school he delivered his papers as usual, and once Neil got home around 4:30, we headed to dinner. Jonah chose an Italian restaurant that was delicious! After dinner we came home & let him open his presents. He had a gift from each of his siblings (a treat from each of them), a couple birthday cards & money from grandparents, and only one present from us. It is something he has been waiting for FOREVER (2 years, but that feels like forever to a kid). He FINALLY got the ipod touch that he's been wanting. We have always told our kids that they would have to be at least 11 before they could get one, because they need to be old enough to be responsible & careful with it. And with the ipod comes some rules that they must follow (never take it to church or school, can't have internet access, etc.) Anyway, he was SO excited to finally have his own ipod & loves having it for his music, games, weather, email, and scriptures, etc. It was a great day & lots of fun, and we are SO grateful to have Jonah as our son!!! :)
