We can't believe that our sweet Tessa is 12 years old today!!! Tessa is such a sweet, kind, thoughtful girl. She loves to help others, whether it's helping around the house with cooking, cleaning, or laundry, or helping with yardwork, helping tend her younger brothers, or helping to cheer up a friend. We are so blessed to have her in our family! Tessa can be very quiet & reserved, but when she is at home with her brothers, she can be wild & crazy! She works hard at school & had straight A's all of last year. Tessa loves riding horses, drawing, and spending time with her family and friends. She is going to try volleyball and clarinet at school this year. She is excited to move on to Young Women at church (the program for girls ages 12-18. They get to work on certain goals, do service projects, have activities each week, and go to girls camp each summer), and she even gets to go do baptisms at the Toronto temple just a few days after her birthday. When she grows up, she would like to be a nurse or an art teacher, and a mom. We love you Tessa & hope you have a wonderful birthday! :)
...Two days after Tessa's birthday, we threw her a surprise birthday party with just a few girls from church that she has become friends with. It was a lot of fun. Neil took Tessa to get some pizza, the girls showed up, we got everything ready, and when they got back, Tessa was SO surprised! :) It was great! The girls had a blast. They had pizza, decorated cupcakes, opened presents, played Wii Just Dance, did manicures & pedicures, watched Tessa's favorite movie, "Soul Surfer", and just had a great time! :)
