Merry Christmas 2010
We had a great Christmas this year. Neil had Christmas Eve off, so we relaxed & played games with the kids, made fudge & caramels, finished a few last-minute things, and then went to sing Christmas Carols at a nursing home with some friends from church. Neil's brother, Spencer, came in the afternoon to spend Christmas with us. It was a lot of fun having him here & the kids love having him visit. We played some games, had some pizza, and then let the kids open presents from their cousins.
On Christmas morning, we told the kids they couldn't come out of their rooms until 6 a.m., when they could come into our room & watch T.V. until 6:30, when Uncle Spencer would be here to open presents with us. So, of course ALL the kids were up right at 6 a.m. & were very excited. Jonah thought he was going to DIE, because he was so excited, and so hungry, and SO ready to open presents!
Uncle Spencer showed up right at 6:30, and we all opened our stockings & gifts from Santa, then we took a break to have a breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage, Panera holiday bread, and a fruit platter. Once we were done with breakfast, we finished opening all our other gifts. Then we spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing with all the new toys, games, and crafts, watching a video, eating lots of goodies, enjoying a big ham dinner later in the afternoon, and just having a great day with the family.
It was a great weekend & a wonderful Christmas!
