The beginning of Christmas break!

We've all been looking forward to Christmas break since Thanksgiving break ended! We LOVE holiday breaks, time off, relaxing down time, and just hanging out together! This past week was filled with lots of Christmas choir concerts, field trips, "Polar Express" rides, class parties, and finals too, since it was the end of the quarter. PJ & Tessa did great in their concerts & sounded wonderful, the kids all had fun at their parties, and they all ended the quarter with straight A's again.

We've been having kind of a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit & feeling very festive this year, for various reasons. We put up our tree & decorations, finished all our shopping, got everything wrapped, etc....but we just aren't feeling it.

Well, last week we decided to take the kids to Branson this Saturday, to Silver Dollar City. We bought season passes this year & wanted to go once more before our passes expire. They always have everything decorated so cute & festive for Christmas & the light show at night is amazing! We went to the production "A Christmas Carol" that was really good, rode some rides, had dinner, bought some homemade taffy, and enjoyed the awesome light show. The weather wasn't too bad. It was about 45 degrees or so, so we stayed warm enough bundled up in our coats. We all had fun spending time together. I still can't say I'm feeling very festive, but spending time with my sweet family is my favorite thing to do, no matter where we are or what we are doing. It was a great day.
