I love weekends!

I LOVE weekends! I love having a relaxed schedule & fun family time! This past weekend has been so nice! The weather was PERFECT--sunny & warm, blue sky, birds singing, everything so green--WONDERFUL!

Anyway, we started off our weekend Friday after school, with a quick trip to Wendys for some chocolate frosties--YUM! Then the kids all played outside in the backyard, in the sandbox, rode bikes, etc. Then right after dinner we all headed to Tessa's riding lesson. She was going to be in a riding show this Saturday, but because of all the rain over the past few weeks, they cancelled the show (nobody was able to practice much). They'll re-schedule it for next month, so I'll get some more pics then.

On Saturday morning, we ran a few errands, went to the park with the kids, went to lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant (Abuelos), then wandered around PetCo with the kids for a while. For whatever reason, they love this. They had a bunch of cats there for adoption, and we saw a few dogs, lots of fish, rodents, reptiles, birds, etc.

After lunch, Tessa went to a friend's birthday party, and Jonah & Clay played outside in the backyard some more, while PJ finished working on a final Medieval project for school.

Once Tessa got home from her party, we had dinner with the kids, and then went to a Naturals Baseball Game (They are a minor league team, here in Northwest Arkansas). We aren't big sports fans, but thought this would be a lot of fun to do with the kids. We had a great time. Our seats were up quite close, just to the left of home plate.It was a lot of fun. Part way through, Clay got a little bored, so we walked over to the back side of the field, where they have a little playground for the kids, and a large grassy area to sit. We let the little boys play for a while, and then walked back over closer to the field & just sat on the grass. It was a beautiful night--warm & clear, light breeze, moon & stars out, happy kids, fun music, great game, and fun memories together.... Ahhhh...like I said, I LOVE weekends, even if there's nothing huge going on, just having some fun, relaxing time together is GREAT! :)
