Well, PJ survived his first big week-long scout camp. They left Monday morning at 3 a.m., to drive 3 hours to the camp (in Missouri). He was very excited! He had signed up for 6 different classes that they did each day, and was able to earn merit badges for all of them. Way to go PJ! He had some fun ones and some boring ones (but he was encouraged to just get them done). He had Environmental Science, Canoeing, Swimming, Communications, Art, and Wood Carving (and he and his group also passed of their First Aid merit badge right before camp too). He had a great time, learned a lot, and just had a blast. And he managed to make it the whole week without a broken bone, stitches...or a shower! BOYS!
We all really missed PJ while he was gone. Tessa, Jonah, & Clay really missed having him around too, so they made him a cute little banner that said "Welcome Home PJ," and in smaller letters it said, "we missed you" and "we love you." They decorated it & colored it, then we also got a treat for him. It's nice to have him home.
The bad thing is that Neil was going to try to volunteer to help out one of the days that PJ was at camp, but something came up that prevented him from doing that, and he had to leave town for a couple of days. Then he left yesterday afternoon to head to Dallas for a big International Food Safety Convention, that will last until next Thursday. That really stinks! I hate it when he's gone, but even more when it's over a weekend! But one of the worst parts is that Neil & PJ won't have seen each other for 2 full weeks! :(
So...we are very much looking forward to the end of next week, when we can all finally be together again! We are going to CELEBRATE!! :)

He said last night at the Court of Honor that the thing that he didn't like the most were the Breakfast Burritos. I guess they didn't turn out! :) He got a lot done it looks like!
Jen, it's not that the breakfast burritos didn't turn out, it's just that he thought they were gross. I would have to agree. I don't like things like that either. He's kind of picky sometimes. And yes, he did get a lot done at the scout camp. He has just a couple more things to do to finish off a few more merit badges. :)
