Here in Canada, we get a 4-day weekend over Easter. Good Friday is a National holiday, and then the kids also get the Monday off as well (and many things are closed on "Easter Monday"). We've had a lot of fun, making the most of our family time this weekend. On Friday, we took the kids to play laser tag (which was a blast), grabbed a quick lunch at Subway, and then headed to see the movie, "Home," and then came home & colored Easter eggs. On Saturday, we got up & ran a couple of errands, PJ went to work, Tessa, Jonah, & Clay had music lessons, then we got home just in time to watch the first session of General Conference (our favorite 2 weekends of the year!). In between sessions, we went to the park, to enjoy being outside (although it was still pretty cool and we ended up getting snow that evening!--Yuck!) Saturday evening, Neil, PJ, & Jonah all headed to the church to watch the Priesthood session (this was PJ's last Conference at home, and Jonah's first time to join the men at the priesthood session). On Sunday, we got up & put the turkey in the roaster, made stuffing, potatoes & gravy, rolls, carrots, jello salad, and chocolate pie for dessert--YUM! We love our traditional Conference dinner (which doubled for our Easter dinner this year as well). We watched an Easter video that was on the LDS website, enjoyed our delicious meal, and then all relaxed in the family room to enjoy General Conference, to listen to our prophet & leaders of the church. So many inspiring, uplifting, & wonderful talks. We LOVE Conference weekend! :)
