We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE General Conference weekend! We love spending time with our family, listening to all the great talks from our prophet & leaders of our church, enjoying our delicious traditional turkey dinner, going for walks between sessions, etc. They are two of our favorite weekends every year! We are so grateful for all we have & the many blessings in our lives, and most of all the gospel of Jesus Christ and our family!!! :)
Since General Conference is always the first Saturday & Sunday in October (and April), the past 2 years, it has been the same weekend as the Canadian Thanksgiving (usually the first Monday in October), so we just combined our celebration to be for both. Well, this year (we aren't sure why), the Canadian Thanksgiving was moved to the next week, so it was the week after General Conference. Since we had already had a big turkey dinner for Conference, we didn't really want another big turkey dinner the next week. So, instead of a turkey dinner, we celebrated our 3rd Canadian Thanksgiving by going out for Chinese food! :) Hahahaha! We don't care what we are celebrating, we just enjoy having some extra days off to spend having fun as a family! It was a great weekend just hanging out & enjoying the beautiful weather & having lots of fun family time!
