Checketts Family News...: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONAH!!

Oh, we can't believe our Mr. Jonah is 9 years old today! Jonah is such a fun, happy, easy going, smart, thoughtful, kind, hard-working kid. He loves school & loves to learn. He loves reading, math, science, playing with his brothers & sister, playing outside, and riding his Ripstik (like a skateboard with just 2 wheels, and you ride it sideways like a snowboard). Jonah has tried lots of different sports (soccer, basketball, tennis, swimming, taekwondo, etc.), and has had fun with all of them. Jonah is our kid that is always hungry! At any time of day, within a 20-minute time range, at some point you will hear, "I'm HUNGRY!" :) Jonah always has a bright, happy smile, and always cheers up our day! We love you Jonah! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :)

...Jonah's birthday was filled full of fun. His school class went on a field trip to a concert and I was able to volunteer to help out. It was a symphony with Boris Brott. The music was great & they did a lot of fun things for the kids. Then at the end of the concert, the conductor asked for a student volunteer. We were in the 2nd row (of about 5000 students in the huge concert hall), and the conductor chose JONAH to come up. He taught him how to conduct the symphony & then he let Jonah do it on his own. It was SO cute!!! And afterwards, Boris Brott even let Jonah keep his autographed conductor's baton. Jonah said it was his BEST birthday EVER! :)

Then that night, we had breakfast for dinner (as per Jonah's request). And boy, did Jonah enjoy it! He had 4 waffles, 3 slices of bacon, 3 links of sausage, half an omelet, some fruit, and a glass of milk...followed by his volcano birthday cake! WOW! He's only 9 now, I wonder what he'll be eating in a few more years!
