I LOVE SUMMER!

I absolutely LOVE summer break! I love the slower pace, letting the kids get up when they want to (which is still between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., depending on the kid), just relaxing and playing, having picnics, going to the park and the library, playing in the sprinklers or going swimming, having popsicles or making cookies together. We still have structure, and I have the kids practice their math facts & read every day (but they don't mind--they actually enjoy it). And they still have jobs to do around the house (helping with laundry, cleaning, helping make dinner, etc.) I just love having the kids home, and having more time with them, and doing fun things together as a family. And I love to see them having fun together. I'm so glad that they are such great friends, and I hope they always will be close, and have great memories of all the fun they had together growing up! :)
