A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Here are a few pictures from Tessa's class performance at school last week (they were talking about the body, and dressed in surgical caps and booties). It was very cute and they did a great job. There are also some pictures of Clay's little preschool field trip to the firestation last week. He had a blast and says he wants to be a fireman now. We also have some pictures from our weekend...relaxing, playing, & listening to conference. It was great!

Neil and I had a date on Friday night, which is always nice. Then on Saturday, we just relaxed and watched Conference, took the kids to dinner, played outside, and had fun. Then on Sunday, we slept in a little, stayed in our jammies until about 10:00, had pancakes for breakfast and listened to Conference some more, while the kids colored and did crafts and puzzles, and played. We had our traditional turkey dinner that we do every Conference Sunday (with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls,…the works), and chocolate pie for dessert—YUM! Then we walked around a lake here in our area that has a nice path and is a really pretty walk (about 40 minutes or so). Anyway, while we were on the walk, we passed by this big old tree that had a hole in it. PJ thought he saw something in it, and so Neil decided to have some fun with this. He said, “OH! I think it’s a Wookilar!” The kids stepped back away from the tree a little, and said, “What’s a Wookilar?!” Neil said, “Well, I wouldn’t get too close!” Then I said, “Yea, I’ve heard they are really rare. So, Neil, why don’t you tell us the story about the Wookilar.” He just laughed. I told the kids to stand by the tree so I could take their picture. But they were a little hesitant. They kept looking behind them. They were worried that the “wookilar” might jump out on them or something. It was so funny! So, they kept asking questions about the “wookilar” and I finally said that Daddy just made it up, and it’s not real. Neil does things like that a lot with the kids, so most of the time, if they aren’t sure if they should believe him or not, they’ll usually say, “Mom, is that true?” It cracks me up. So, that was our weekend.
