Life is good. We were outside yesterday, playing (the boys were finally starting to feel a little better later in the day). So, PJ used his new wave board that he got for his birthday, Jonah was playing with his baseball glove and ball, Clay was collecting grasshoppers (and was VERY proud of himself), and Tessa was riding her scooter, and they wanted to see if they could all fit in the dog kennel. They all got hot and sweaty and dirty, but were as happy as can be. Then afterwards, as they were filing into the house, with sand and dirt trailing behind them, and their hair sticking up in all directions, and sweaty little faces, Clay comes up and grabs my face in his chubby little hands and gives me a big slobbery kiss and says, "Mommy, I love you." That's the best! I have a saying taped to my fridge that says, "Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you'll look back and realize they were the big things." These are the moments in life that you just want to hang onto forever. They are the best!
Oh, and by the way, we just adoped a new pet rat. The kids named her Peanut. They have been wanting one for a while, and finally figured that they could put all their allowance money together to pay for everything, and all share it and take care of it, so we decided to let them have one. They all love her and are very excited for another pet. :)

Love the picture of the kids in the kennel. Boy is brings back the days when getting dirty was so much fun.
Thanks for the reminder about what is important.
Sounds like such a fun day! That picture of them in the dog kennel is so funny!
